52eighty Distilling is the culmination of a dream and a lot of hard work for brothers Erick and Drew Demgen and their best friend Anthony “Lou” Pacenta. Growing up in Littleton, Colorado, the trio went to school together, played sports together, and even ended up in the same corporate world as financial analysts and planners for major Colorado firms.
But when they weren’t at the office or coaching youth football, Erick, Drew and Lou were busy brewing their own beer and studying different brewing and distillation techniques. They experimented with different grains and mash bills and learned about recent advances in distillation technology. And they spent a lot of time visiting breweries and distilleries, becoming connoisseurs of beer and distilled spirits in the process.
Slowly an idea began to form: 52eighty Distilling, a distillery founded by three friends that uses innovative distilling techniques, ingredients from small family-owned Colorado farms, and crisp Rocky Mountain water to produce excellent distilled spirits. Once this idea was hatched, the world of corporate finance lost three valuable team members. The rest is history and you can taste their passion in every sip!
